Creating and sending Outlook Express Stationery using
sound and animations imbedded into the email is a lot of fun and brings
lots of new dimensions to the boring text email on other servers.
(follow
the purple boxes)
Open Outlook
Express and click on Message>new message>select stationery.

When
select stationery opens, click on Create New

When the create
new is clicked, the Stationery Setup Wizard is opened (below) Click
the Browse and choose an image from any file on your computer. Then
click next and choose the font (next window)

Choose
the font, style, size and color. Then click next

Set Margins as indicated below. Usually
150-200 are fine. It depends on the size of your image and where you
want to place it. If in Center and not on the left then perhaps you
would want to choose a top margin.
Then
click Next

The following
window (not shown here) asks for a name for your stationery and when
you click finish, the completed stationery goes into the stationery
folder for use the next time you wish to send an email with stationery.
Below
is an example of the stationery folder filled with
selections to use for email.

When I click
on message>new message>select stationery, this (below) is the
box that I get and use to send my Outlook Express stationery. Music
(sounds) are added by using the format>background> sound option.

Outlook express
stationery is easily seen by users of Internet Explorer and Outlook
Express email service. Not AOL or Netscape, and I have found the Opera
users have difficulty. However, recent news articles show that over
75% of browsers are Internet Explorer.
I
would appreciate any comments or further assistance on
this tutorial...
